Any one else want to get into music? I once found a stash of dusty Yamaha classic guitars in the choir teacher's storage at a middle school where I taught. About eleven of them were in great shape. I asked a simple question: Are our students here mostly Hispanic?

Well, Miss Weterly and her chorus got excited, and Mexican Heritage got performed that year the way it is meant, on classic strung guitars with soft Spanish voices.

If you have a similar task to perform, I suggest you go to the first United Methodist church in your town, and ask them at one sunny day Church service to please donate any old guitar, that they have lying about their houses. One church collected almost a hundred beginner's and better guitars the following Sunday after the request. That's fifty kids off the streets studying a skill.

There is always a new generation of buskin' beginners every nine months. Pass it along, a used instrument has much life in it... clarinets to violins, all of mine are used and have very fine tones.
