Seems As If We Never Progress On Our Own

Let's see, they move their fence to the property line.
I tell them they can't put their garbage cans
on that side of the alley anymore.
They trim the hedge to the ground and
I shoo their kids and dogs back to their yard.
I invite them to talk about it and they won't look at me much less talk.
The Dad doesn't show for golf on Saturday and Mom fails
to invite her counterpart to the church bazaar.
Little Billy knocks Little Joey's books on the school bus floor.
Joey pushes Billy. Joey gets principal time for bullying.
I go next door to try for a resolution and no one answers
the knock even though the car is there.
Are we headed for this again????

A Seasonal Prayer...for All Seasons in Christ

Prayer

May 20, 2011 at 9:43pm
If I told you to leave tonight
would you stay here and hold me tight?
please oh please just please understand
when i ask you to stand in my sand
for this sand represents us all
the people in this immense ball.
do you understand what's said?
when i described the color red
of how you make me feel all day
when i want to just stop and pray
that you will understand my pain
and leave me here to clean this stain
that i have made from all my sin
and toss the rag into the bin
and when i say to leave tonight
please just stay, and hold me tight.

Simply Put Truth for the Ages

That has to be the power of prayer that's getting us thru............we've learned an honesty as a family that's easy to share.  When one of us just can't do any more for that particular hour, we say so.  And the laughter is still present, thank you Jesus!
