Prayer of....

Lord make me an instrument of thy peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love.

Where there is injury, pardon.

Where there is doubt, faith.

Where there is despair, hope.

Where there is darkness, light

Where there is sadness, joy.

Remember the "What's My Line" with Kitty Carlisle, Bennett Cerf... and others?

"That's one down and eight to go"

...the host had clarinet player's teeth and wore a tuxedo, and sat behind a desk with the guest. The desk looked like a plywood shop project from 1948 Mechanics Illustrated.

Good guess, but not the one planned on.

Do you still have a 1948 Mechanics Illustrated? What kind of shape is the cover in? I'll trade you for it.

Great Prayer.....Billy Graham.

Correcto-Mondo Dr J-(B):

We have an Aunt Frances who has passed away, with all the mysteries of her life with her. She gave me some things, and confided a few others...

She had told me to never pray for her... "Some people don't like that." I did understand what she meant.

So she gave me the bookmark anyway. I think it is a token of Trust on her part... no?

St Francis was "cool" in my mind. I don't know what you win yet...

Do you know this one?

"Guide us waking, O Lord, and guard us sleeping; that awake we may watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in peace.

Lord, you now have set your servant free *
to go in peace as you have promised;

For these eyes of mine have seen the Savior, *
whom you have prepared for all the world to see:

A Light to enlighten the nations, *
and the glory of your people Israel.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: *
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.

Guide us waking, O Lord, and guard us sleeping; that awake we may watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in peace. "
