Luke 24: Son of God

4And it happened that while these wondered at this, behold, two men stood above them and their clothing was shining. 5And they were in fear and they bowed their faces to the ground, and they were saying to them, “Why are you seeking The Life among the dead? 6He is not here; he is risen. Remember when he spoke with you as he was in Galilee, 7And he said, 'The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and he shall be crucified and the third day he shall arise?'

14And they were speaking with one another about all these things that had occurred. 15And while they were talking and inquiring one with another, Yeshua came and he met them and he was walking with them. 16And their eyes had been held shut lest they would recognize him. 17And he said to them, “What are these matters of which you speak, one with another, as you are walking and are gloomy?”

25Then Yeshua said to them, “Oh deficient of mind and slow of heart to believe in all the things that The Prophets have spoken! 26Was it not necessary for The Messiah to endure these things and to enter into his glory?” 27And he began from Moses and from all The Prophets and he expounded to them about himself from all of the scriptures.

8And they arrived at that village to which they were going, and he was announcing to them how he was going to a distant place. 29And they constrained him and they were saying to him, “Stay with us, because the day is declining and it is becoming dark”, and he entered to stay with them. 30And it happened that when he reclined with them, he took bread and he blessed, and he broke and he gave to them. 31At once their eyes were opened and they recognized him and he ascended from them.

Yeshua stood in their midst and he said to them, “Peace be with you; I AM THE LIVING GOD, be not afraid.”

(As we share the Sacrament of Communion with fellow Christians, we are the Body of Christ and Truly share His Peace with each other.)

38And Yeshua said to them, “Why are you shaken, and why do imaginations arise in your hearts?” 39“See my hands and my feet, that it is I; touch me and know that a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.”

44And he said to them, “These are the words that I spoke with you when I was with you, that everything that is written about me in The Law of Moses and in The Prophets and in The Psalms must be fulfilled.”

45Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures. 46And he said to them, “Thus it is written: and thus it was right for The Messiah to suffer and to arise from the grave the third day, 47And that conversion to the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name in all the nations, and the beginning would be at Jerusalem. 48And you are witnesses of these things. 49And I shall send upon you The Promise of my Father; but you stay in the city of Jerusalem until you shall be clothed in power from on high.”

50And he brought them unto Bethany and he lifted his hands and he blessed them. 51And it was that as he blessed them, he was separated from them, and he ascended to Heaven.

( We proclaim the Mystery of Faith)

As I read The Word, I become more hesitant to add any words or take Words from context. These days, our existence in Christ's Love for us, is tested by the adversary with an all out assault on our Faith and Stamina. The Holy Bible is a Message and Guide for us as His children. It is meant to be read, regularly and prayerfully, I believe. The more you read, the closer He draws you to Him. Don't be shy or timid; thank God for His Infinite Mercy and His daily, moment by moment, showering of us with the Small and Great Miracles this earthly existence carries. Open the pages, remember the prize and read His Word. God's Word is boundless. In Jesus' Name...be Fulfilled.
