A Star, A Star

[57] Hamann strikingly says, "How often has God condescended, not merely to the feelings and thoughts of men, but even to their failings and their prejudices! But this very condescension (one of the highest marks of his love to man), which is exhibited every where in the Bible, affords subjects of derision to those weaklings who look into the word of God for displays of human wisdom, for the gratification of their pert and idle curiosity, or for the spirit of their own times or their own sect." --Works, i., 58.

Luke 24: Son of God

4And it happened that while these wondered at this, behold, two men stood above them and their clothing was shining. 5And they were in fear and they bowed their faces to the ground, and they were saying to them, “Why are you seeking The Life among the dead? 6He is not here; he is risen. Remember when he spoke with you as he was in Galilee, 7And he said, 'The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and he shall be crucified and the third day he shall arise?'

14And they were speaking with one another about all these things that had occurred. 15And while they were talking and inquiring one with another, Yeshua came and he met them and he was walking with them. 16And their eyes had been held shut lest they would recognize him. 17And he said to them, “What are these matters of which you speak, one with another, as you are walking and are gloomy?”

25Then Yeshua said to them, “Oh deficient of mind and slow of heart to believe in all the things that The Prophets have spoken! 26Was it not necessary for The Messiah to endure these things and to enter into his glory?” 27And he began from Moses and from all The Prophets and he expounded to them about himself from all of the scriptures.

8And they arrived at that village to which they were going, and he was announcing to them how he was going to a distant place. 29And they constrained him and they were saying to him, “Stay with us, because the day is declining and it is becoming dark”, and he entered to stay with them. 30And it happened that when he reclined with them, he took bread and he blessed, and he broke and he gave to them. 31At once their eyes were opened and they recognized him and he ascended from them.

Yeshua stood in their midst and he said to them, “Peace be with you; I AM THE LIVING GOD, be not afraid.”

(As we share the Sacrament of Communion with fellow Christians, we are the Body of Christ and Truly share His Peace with each other.)

38And Yeshua said to them, “Why are you shaken, and why do imaginations arise in your hearts?” 39“See my hands and my feet, that it is I; touch me and know that a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.”

44And he said to them, “These are the words that I spoke with you when I was with you, that everything that is written about me in The Law of Moses and in The Prophets and in The Psalms must be fulfilled.”

45Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures. 46And he said to them, “Thus it is written: and thus it was right for The Messiah to suffer and to arise from the grave the third day, 47And that conversion to the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name in all the nations, and the beginning would be at Jerusalem. 48And you are witnesses of these things. 49And I shall send upon you The Promise of my Father; but you stay in the city of Jerusalem until you shall be clothed in power from on high.”

50And he brought them unto Bethany and he lifted his hands and he blessed them. 51And it was that as he blessed them, he was separated from them, and he ascended to Heaven.

( We proclaim the Mystery of Faith)

As I read The Word, I become more hesitant to add any words or take Words from context. These days, our existence in Christ's Love for us, is tested by the adversary with an all out assault on our Faith and Stamina. The Holy Bible is a Message and Guide for us as His children. It is meant to be read, regularly and prayerfully, I believe. The more you read, the closer He draws you to Him. Don't be shy or timid; thank God for His Infinite Mercy and His daily, moment by moment, showering of us with the Small and Great Miracles this earthly existence carries. Open the pages, remember the prize and read His Word. God's Word is boundless. In Jesus' Name...be Fulfilled.

Tree of Life: A Poem

[I]t is impossible to speak of the history of something before we know the thing itself...
Retrieved by Pat Darnell

Behold that before the emanations were emanated and the creatures were created,

The Upper Simple Light had filled the whole existence.

And there was no vacancy, such as an empty air, a hollow,

But all was filled with that Simple, Boundless Light.

And there was no such part as head, or end,

But everything was One, Simple Light, balanced evenly and equally,

And it was called “the Light of Ein Sof (Infinity).”

And when upon His simple will, came the desire to create the worlds and emanate the emanations,

To bring to light the perfection of His deeds, His names, His appellations,

Which was the cause of the creation of the worlds,

Then the Ein Sof restricted Himself, in His middle point, precisely at the center,

And He restricted that Light, and drew far off to the sides around that middle point.

And there remained an empty space, an empty air, a vacuum

Precisely from the middle point.

And that restriction was equally around that empty, middle point,

So that the space was evenly circled around it.

And after the restriction, when the vacant space remained empty

Precisely in the middle of the Light of Ein Sof,

A place was formed, where the Emanations, Creations, Formations, and Actions might reside.

Then from the Light of Ein Sof, a single line hung down from Above, lowered into that space.

And through that line, He emanated, created, formed, and made all the worlds.

Prior to these four worlds, there was one Light of Ein Sof, whose Name is One, in wondrous, hidden unity,

And even in the angles closest to Him

There is no force and no attainment in The Ein Sof,

As there is no mind of a created that could attain Him,

For He has no place, no boundary, no name.

The greatest contemporary Kabbalists, Rav Yehuda Ashlag, and his son and successor, Rav Baruch Ashlag, provide valid answers to life’s most fundamental question: “What is the meaning of my life?” Based on their interpretations of The Book of Zohar, and The Tree of Life, we can now learn how to benefit from the wisdom of Kabbalah on a day-to-day basis.
In addition to authentic texts by these great Kabbalists, this book offers illustrations that accurately depict the evolution of the Upper Worlds as Kabbalists experience them, as well as several helpful essays to enhance our understanding of the texts.
In Kabbalah for the Student, Rav Michael Laitman, PhD, Rav Baruch Ashlag’s personal assistant and prime student, compiled all the texts a Kabbalah student would need in order to attain the spiritual worlds. In his daily lessons, Rav Laitman bases his teaching on these inspiring texts, thus helping novices and veterans alike to better understand the spiritual path we undertake on our fascinating journey to the Higher Realms.

Another Prayer by [Guess]... Thanks to Dr J!!

J has left a new comment on your post "Prayer of....":

Do you know this one?

"Guide us waking, O Lord, and guard us sleeping; that awake we may watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in peace.

Lord, you now have set your servant free
to go in peace as you have promised;

For these eyes of mine have seen the Savior,
whom you have prepared for all the world to see:

A Light to enlighten the nations,
and the glory of your people Israel.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.

Guide us waking, O Lord, and guard us sleeping; that awake we may watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in peace. "

Where did the Universe Come From?

Part 4: Dave,"If you can read this sentence, I can prove to you that God exists"

See this email I just sent you that you're reading right now? This email is proof of the existence of God.

Yeah, I know, that sounds crazy. But I'm not asking you to believe anything just yet, until you see the evidence for yourself. All I ask is that you refrain from disbelieving while I show you my proof. It only takes a minute to convey, but it speaks to one of the most important questions of all time.

So how is this email proof of the existence of God?

This email you're reading contains letters, words and sentences. It contains a message that means something. As long as you can read English, you can understand what I'm saying.

You can do all kinds of things with this email. You can read it on your computer screen. You can print it out on your printer. You can read it out loud to a friend who's in the same room as you are. You can call your friend and read it to her over the telephone. You can save it as a Microsoft WORD document. You can forward it to someone via email, or you can post it on a website.

Regardless of how you copy it or where you send it, the information remains the same. My email contains a message. It contains information in the form of language. The message is independent of the medium it is sent in. Messages are not matter, even though they can be carried by matter like printing this email on a piece of paper.

Messages are not energy even though they can be carried by energy, like the sound of my voice.

Messages are immaterial. Information is itself a unique kind of entity. It can be stored and transmitted and copied in many forms, but the meaning still stays the same.

Messages can be in English, French or Chinese, or Morse code; or mating calls of birds -- or the Internet, or radio or television. Or computer programs or architect blueprints or stone carvings. Every cell in your body contains a message encoded in DNA, representing a complete plan for you.

OK, so what does this have to do with God?

It's very simple. Messages, languages, and coded information ONLY come from a mind-- a mind that agrees on an alphabet and a meaning of words and sentences-- a mind that expresses both desire and intent.

Whether I use the simplest possible explanation, such as the one I'm giving you here, or if we analyze language with advanced mathematics and engineering communication theory, we can say this with total confidence:

"Messages, languages and coded information never, ever come from anything else besides a mind. No one has ever produced a single example of a message that did not come from a mind."

Nature can create fascinating patterns - snowflakes, sand dunes, crystals, stalagmites and stalactites; tornadoes and turbulence and cloud formations.

But non-living things cannot create language. They *cannot* create codes. Rocks cannot think and they cannot talk. And they cannot create information.

It is believed by some that life on planet earth arose accidentally from the "primordial soup," the early ocean which produced enzymes and eventually RNA, DNA, and primitive cells.

But there is still a problem with this theory: It fails to answer the question, 'Where did the information come from?'

DNA is not merely a molecule. Nor is it simply a "pattern." Yes, it contains chemicals and proteins, but those chemicals are arranged to form an intricate language, in the exact same way that English and Chinese and HTML are languages.

DNA has a four-letter alphabet, and structures very similar to words, sentences and paragraphs; with very precise instructions and systems that check for errors and correct them.

To the person who says that life arose naturally, you need only ask: "Where did the information come from? Show me just ONE example of a language that didn't come from a mind."

As simple as this question is, I've personally presented it in public presentations and Internet discussion forums for more than two years. I've addressed more than fifty thousand people, including hostile, skeptical audiences who insist that life arose without the assistance of God.

But to a person, none of them have ever been able to explain where the information came from. This riddle is "So simple any child can understand; so complex, no atheist can solve."

You can hear or read my full presentation on this topic at: http://www.cosmicfingerprints.com/ifyoucanreadthis.htm

For a high-school level, layman's version, go here:
http://www.cosmicfingerprints.com/information.htm

Matter and energy have to come from somewhere. Everyone can agree on that. But information has to come from somewhere, too! Information is separate entity, fully on par with matter and only come from a mind. If books and poems and TV come from human intelligence, then all living things inevitably came from a super intelligence.

Every word you hear, every sentence you speak, every dog that barks, every song you sing, every email you read, every packet of information that zings across the Internet, is proof of the existence of God; because information and language always originate in a mind.

In the beginning were words and language. In the Beginning was Information.

When we consider the mystery of life - where it came from and how this miracle is possible - do we not at the same time ask the question where it is going, and what its purpose is?
