It is wonderful how we the United States have now also avoided a government coupe. Unlike many countries, that have been victimized, nationalized, by genocide and infanticide, and genetic cleansing, we have side-stepped this pestilence and soon will be rid of it. Fascism will always be around, and now we know cheap shot artists like this Epstein class, can somehow divert regular US citizens in their paths! 

We will be stronger and more secure as our brilliant children and iconic grandchildren take up the torch of freedom. 

My good friend Don Stewart, professor retired, wrote the following:

James Carville and Dean Blundell are both missing the point, and it's an important one. D. J. Epstein will not resign, the Cabinet will not invoke, and Congress will not impeach. They won't have to, even if they had the guts to do their jobs. POOTUS is not getting old - he's terminal. Half out the door already.

Vanceypants will be the lamest lame-duck prez ever, lamer than the baby duck just pulled in from the fungating, sickly green reflecting pool. No one will like him. No one will listen to him. No one will follow him. MAGA will ridicule him a thousand times over as they shatter into obscurity, a teacher-less school of toothless piranhas biting each others' tucked and tattered tails. Rubio, MTG and a dozen other wannabes will snipe at him from the opera seats.

The angry rhetoric, threats, and brown-shirt tactics will escalate from whatever is left of the White House. The Senate will fall further into disarray since there will be no VP left to corral crossover votes or be the tie-breaker in more and more contentious legislative procedurals.

Judges will fight harder and more successfully to restore the Rule of Law, meaning the P2025 crowd will be eating their own lunch in an ever smaller corner of the cafeteria. The momentum may even begin to sway the wavering members of SCOTUS, who, without their Golden Calf to hide behind, might start looking to burnish their own tainted and tarnished legacies.

Xtian Nationalists will become sorely confused and hopelessly divided, wondering what happened to their grand plans of Armageddon and the promised Second Coming in the face of the nasty resurgence of all those pesky Beatitudes. Predictions of the Rapture will proliferate, compounding their disappointment when they learn, again and again, that they won't be spirited away, but in fact will have to stick around and work things out with all the sinners and deviants who insist on living among them.

Law enforcement (a loose term, these days) may, with a little judicial encouragement, find their spines again, hiding somewhere near their lost moral compasses - but later than sooner. JD and hangers-on will wield them to the last, as they continue to try and convince US all that war is peace, ignorance is strength, slavery is freedom, and anyone who does not look, act, love, or believe the way you do is a criminal who must be shut away without due process.

We will have much to do, and much to fix, from the White House to the Court House to the Jail House. And we will have to get after it a lot sooner than any of US think.
